57. Mr. Biggs-Davison

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs whether Her Majesty's Government will renew the proposals made in 1964 for the demilitarisation of the frontier between the Kingdom of the Yemen and the South Arabian Federation, and for the stationing thereon of United Nations observers.

I have no evidence that those concerned in the Yemen would respond any more favourably to these ideas than they did in 1964.
