§ Mr. SwinglerWe do not consider there is an essential need for overnight sleeping at motorway service areas, which are48W designed for the needs of short-stay users, and have no plans to provide these facilities. The areas are already large and elaborate, and the considerable expenditure and acquisition of extra land involved in this proposal would not be justified.
