§ Mr. Onslowasked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food what increase or decrease there has been in the staff of his Department since 16th October, 1964; and what increase or decrease he anticipates in the period up to 15th October, 1967.
§ Mr. HoyThe expansion of the scientific, advisory and technical services, and the increase in work from the development and implementation of new policies, has resulted in an increase in the Department's staff of about 600 since October, 1964.
Mainly because of the continued expansion of the scientific, technical and advisory services it is expected that the staff will increase by about 600 by October next.
