HC Deb 14 April 1967 vol 744 c266W
Mr. Eldon Griffiths

asked the President of the Board of Trade if he will publish a table of British direct exports to South Vietnam in each of the previous five years, indicating generally which categories of goods showed the most significant increases; and if he will further estimate the increase over the same period in indirect British exports to South Vietnam via Singapore and Hong Kong, and by way of invisibles.

Mr. Darling

The following is the information about United Kingdom exports to the Republic of Vietnam and the categories of goods showing the most signficant increases.

There is no information about United Kingdom exports consigned to Singapore and Hong Kong, but reaching the Republic of Vietnam. Estimates of United Kingdom invisible exports to individual countries are not available.

Friend the Member for Sheffield, Attercliffe (Mr. John Hynd) and the hon. Member for Hertfordshire, South-West (Mr. Longden). Medical evidence related to the conditions in this country has not so far shown that further control is necessary. —[Vol. 742, c. 282.]
