§ Mr. Roy JenkinsFirm estimates are not practicable but about 30,000 tons of oil were discharged when the ship foundered; around 50,000 tons had been further discharged by 28th March, and it is believed that about 40,000 tons were still undischarged on that date, practically all of which is believed to have been destroyed by bombing by 30th March.
