Mr. Kershaw

asked the Minister of Health, what is the number of inhabitants per doctor in England and Wales; and how this number compares with equivalent statistics in European countries of the Common Market and in Scandinavia.

The latest figures published by the World Health Organisation for the Common Market and Scandinavia countries are given below, with the England and Wales figure for the year to which most of them relate.
