(2) if he will issue instructions to the Bank of England to prevent a further run on sterling.
§ Mr. CallaghanThe causes of pressure are pretty well known. Withdrawals of funds cannot always be prevented, but their effect can be offset, and international arrangements have been helpful in doing this.
