§ Mr. Heathasked the Prime Minister whether it is proposed that gifts should be presented to the Government and Legislature of Barbados to mark the attainment of independence by Barbados on 30th November.
§ The Prime MinisterThe whole House will, I feel sure, wish to send hearty congratulations to Barbados on her forthcoming independence, with best wishes for the happiness and prosperity of her people. Her Majesty's Government will propose that this House should offer a gift to the 87W Barbados House of Assembly. Her Majesty's Government for their part have decided to offer a suitable gift to the Government of Barbados to mark this happy occasion.
