All developments which may affect the long term labour situation are kept under constant review by the Government and my right hon. Friend the President of the Board of Trade is continuing to encourage the introduction of additional employment in Wales through the use of his powers under the Local Employment Acts 1960–66 reinforced by the Industrial Development Act 1966. Our object is to provide full demand to match the labour available in Wales in 1971, and later.
