asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer what was the number of full- and part-time civil servants employed in tax offices throughout the United Kingdom in July, 1965 and July, 1966.

36,629 full-time and 854 part-time staff were employed in the Chief Inspector's Branch in July, 1965, and 39,214 and 894 respectively in July, 1966.
