HC Deb 15 November 1966 vol 736 c57W
Mr. Wingfield Digby

asked the Minister of Housing and Local Government whether he is aware that public water supplies in the Dorchester area have been contaminated with diesel oil and that this persisted for a number of days; and if, in view of the danger to public health, he will ensure that action is taken to prevent a recurrence of this pollution.

Mr. MacColl

This is a matter for the statutory water undertakers, the Dorchester Rural District Council, which, I understand, took immediate steps to remedy the situation and is making further inquiries into the circumstances leading to the contamination.
