§ Mr. Will Owenasked the President of the Board of Trade what progress has been made to secure tenants for the advanced factories on the Ashington, Northumberland, Industrial Estate; and whether he will make a statement.
§ Mr. DarlingThere are two advance factories at Ashington. One of these is nearly ready for occupation and three companies have visited it in recent months but, so far, no firm application has been received for the tenancy. Construction of the second factory is about to begin. We shall continue, as we have been doing for some time, to draw the attention of suitable industrialists to these factories.
