HC Deb 09 November 1966 vol 735 cc298-9W
Sir Clive Bossom

asked the Minister of Transport whether her proposal to ban the use of yellow headlights applies to vehicles being driven to and from the ports when travelling to and from France.

Mr. Swingler

We are considering a suggestion that such vehicles should be exempted.

Sir Clive Bossom

asked the Minister of Transport what evidence she has on the effects on road safety of the use of yellow headlights.

Mr. Swingler

We are not aware of any significant evidence that yellow is any better than white as the colour for headlights.
