§ Mr. Merlyn ReesMeteorological Office research, costing about £800,000 a year, is mainly directed to a better understanding of basic weather processes, including 113W the general circulation of the atmosphere and the formation and behaviour of clouds. A better understanding of these processes is an essential prerequisite for any significant progress in weather control. The Office keeps in touch with weather control work abroad.
