HC Deb 04 May 1966 vol 727 c123W
99. Mr. James Davidson

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland why teachers who are married to the headmasters of the schools in which they teach are not entitled to holiday pay.

Mr. Ross

There is no such rule. If any such teacher is employed on a temporary basis, she is paid like other temporary teachers only for days of actual attendance at school. But she is paid at a higher daily rate and over a full year would receive exactly the same salary as if she were employed permanently.
