§ 86. Mr. Ridleyasked the Minister of Transport if she will seek to make it compulsory for motorists to carry a sign which can be placed 100 yards back on the road in the event of breakdown.
§ Mrs. CastleThe use of such a sign on the highway is at present illegal, but, following consultations with interested organisations, I propose shortly to make regulations allowing their use. I have no powers under existing legislation to require motorists to carry such signs.
