§ Mr. George ThomasMy right hon. Friend is aware that the Church Assembly has informed the World Council of Churches that it is in favour of a fixed Easter. It is desirable that there should be general agreement among the Christian Churches as to the date to be observed, and the World Council of Churches has been inquiring into the possibility of reaching such agreement. My right hon. Friend awaits the results of these inquiries.
