HC Deb 09 March 1966 vol 725 c536W
Mr. Gresham Cooke

asked the Minister of Transport by how much the total expenditure on maintenance and minor improvements for roads in England and Wales will have been reduced in the current financial year as a result of the Government's economic measures.

Mr. Swingler

It is not possible to identify the extent of any such reduction, but the effect will have been relatively small. My right hon. Friend the Secretary of State for Wales tells me that the position there is similar.
