§ Mr. CousinsMy Department continually interchanges with a wide variety of manufacturers and users information and views bearing upon the design of computers for civil use. The Working Party referred to in my Answer to the hon. Member for Sheffield, Hallam (Mr. J. H. Osborn) on 22nd February was one recent element in this process. The ultimate responsibility for the design of computers remains, however, with the manufacturers, who have to sell their products competitively.
