HC Deb 09 March 1966 vol 725 c541W
Mr. Eldon Griffiths

asked the Minister of Transport if she will now refuse to accept British Railways' proposals to close down Kennett, Higham, Saxham, Thurston and Elmswell stations on the Cambridge to Ipswich line.

Mr. John Morris

My right hon. Friend has just received the report of the Transport Users Consultative Committee on these proposals, and she is awaiting the comments of the Economic Planning Council for East Anglia on the planning implications if the closures were to take place. It will, therefore, be a little while before she will be able to make her decision.
