§ 40. Mr. Cleggasked the Attorney-General whether he will make the evidence obtained by the police into the Cowley incident and submitted to the Director of Public Prosecutions available to the Royal Commission on Trade Unions.
§ The Attorney-GeneralThe statements of witnesses to the police are always treated as confidential, but the Director of Public Prosecutions has agreed to supply to the Commission a resumé of the case which was prepared in his Department and based upon the witnesses' statements, upon the understanding that it will be treated by the Commission as being a confidential document.
