HC Deb 27 July 1966 vol 732 c262W
67. Mr. Dewar

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland what representations were made by the Scottish Economic Planning Council as to the decision to study the feasibility of concentrating part of the future population expansion in Scotland in the Dundee area; and whether he will reconsider the decision in view of the needs of areas further from the central industrial belt such as Aberdeen and the north-east of Scotland.

Mr. Ross

The decision was welcomed by the Scottish Economic Planning Council as an important step in the implementation of the White Paper's proposals for the Tayside area. The Answer to the second part of the Question is: "No".
