HC Deb 25 July 1966 vol 732 c196W
Mr. Channon

asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer by what amount the Government will compensate contractors who have already placed contracts on fixed price terms with Her Majesty's Government; what general directions will be given to nationalised industries that compensate contractors who have fixed price contracts; what guidance has been given to local authorities; and what advice he has given contractors who in good faith have entered, before the Budget statement, into fixed price contracts with other private persons.

Mr. Diamond

These matters were covered in the statement I made during the Committee stage of the Selective Employment Payments Bill on 21st July (0.R., 21st July, Cols. 980/1).
