§ Mr. Stratton Millsasked the President of the Board of Trade if he will consult the Issuing Houses Association to see to what extent the statutory period, after which application for shares in offers for sale can be withdrawn, needs to be revised in view of the fact that the existing period is not sufficient to deal with Northern Ireland cheques; and if he will make a statement.
§ Mr. JayI will consult the Issuing Houses Association before proposing amendments to the prospectus provisions of the Companies Act. But it is not my intention to amend those provisions in the Companies Bill which I hope to introduce in this Session.
