HC Deb 20 July 1966 vol 732 c99W
86. Mr. Oakes

asked the Minister of Transport whether she will hold discussions with the insurance industry to revise the provisions of the Motor Insurance Bureau Agreement made in 1946 to include damage to property as well as personal injuries suffered by victims of uninsured motorists.

Mr. John Morris

No. It would be unreasonable to expect the Motor Insurers' Bureau to meet liabilities which motorists as a whole are not required to insure.
