§ 82. Mr. Parkasked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs if he will open discussions with the Rumanian Government on the methods of implementing its official proposals for the abolition of the North Atlantic Treaty Organisation and the Warsaw Pact.
§ Mr. George ThomsonI am not aware that the Rumanian Government have made an official proposal of this sort. As far as the public pronouncements of the Rumanian Government are concerned, I have nothing to add to the reply which my right hon. Friend the Foreign Secretary gave to a supplementary Question by my hon. Friend the Member for Liverpool, Walton (Mr. Heller) on 14th June.
My right hon. Friend is hoping to visit Rumania in September when amongst the subjects he looks forward to discussing with the Rumanian Government are the views they have recently expressed about the North Atlantic Treaty and Warsaw Pact organisations.
