HC Deb 04 July 1966 vol 731 c3W
Mr. Coleman

asked the Minister of Health (1) how many medical technicians in Welsh hospital laboratories have received training in the techniques of exfoliative cytology;

(2) how many medical technicians in Welsh hospital laboratories he proposes should receive training courses in the techniques of exfoliative cytology; when these courses will begin.

Mr. K. Robinson

Forty-one have received training, one is now being trained and another is nominated for the next course. Bookings for places on future courses, which are continuing at the five special centres, have not yet been completed but the Welsh Hospital Board are now estimating their needs in the light of the progress already made and intend to take up fully their share of available places.
