HC Deb 21 February 1966 vol 725 c38W
Mr. Berry

asked the Postmaster-General why the local sub-post office in the Broadway, Winchmore Hill, N. 21, has been closed down; and what alternative arrangements are being made for members of the public, particularly old-age pensioners, who used it.

Mr. Benn

The sub-post office had to be closed when the sub-postmaster resigned and sold his premises early this month.

We are doing our best to find a new sub-postmaster with alternative premises; I am afraid that in the meantime people who used the old office will have to go to the nearby offices at The Green and at 822, Green Lanes.
