HC Deb 09 February 1966 vol 724 c105W
Mr. Hector Hughes

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland if he is aware of the discontent in Aberdeen at the siting of the new reactor station under the auspices of Dounreay Experimental Station in the County of Aberdeen, which is under his authority, and that to site it in or near the City of Aberdeen would do much to stem the flow south of skilled craftsmen; and if he will take steps to site it in or near Aberdeen city.

Mr. Ross

No. I was not aware of any suggestion that a site in or near Aberdeen would be an appropriate location for the prototype fast reactor.
