§ Mr. Dempseyasked the Postmaster-General if he will state the nature of the accommodation included in the new post office at Airdrie, the estimated cost of the project and the date when he expects the new building to be completed.
§ Mr. Joseph SlaterThe new two-storey building will contain, on the ground floor, offices and a public counter with ten serving positions, and, on the first floor, the dining room, cloakrooms, etc. There will be a sorting office and yard behind the main building. The building is planned to cater for growth during the next 30 years. It will cost about £47,500, and is expected to open for business in about November, 1966.
