For the same years, farm improvement grants for cattle rearing and fattening buildings were £1.8 million, £1.9 million, £1.7 million, £1.7 million (provisional estimate). Beef production benefits also from farm improvement grants of a more general nature and from grants and subsidies under other schemes, but it is regretted that it is not practicable to estimate the extent.
