§ 59. Mr. David Steelasked the Secreary of State for Scotland if he will give full details of Government action taken to promote economic development in the 312W Borders following the Mears Report of 1948 and the Scottish Council Report of 1950.
§ Mr. RossA detailed appraisal of the economic conditions in the Borders, going back over the years since the reports referred to, is contained in the appendix to the White Paper on the Scottish Economy, to which I would refer the hon. Gentleman.
