Mr. Wainwrightasked the Minister of Housing and Local Government if he will give, from the Dearne Valley area, the number of applications to the rent officer for rent determination; and how many of those applying have had their rents increased or decreased.
§ Mr. MacCollRegistration areas under the Rent Act, 1965 are the areas of counties and county boroughs, and my right hon. Friend has no separate information for the Dearne Valley area. In the West Riding County Council area up to 17th December 124 applications for registration of rent had been made to the rent officer, of which 105 had been determined. The original rent was reduced in 35 cases, unchanged in 16 and increased in 54.
