HC Deb 02 December 1966 vol 737 c162W
Mr. Whitaker

asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department whether he will seek to amend the gaming law the present effect of which is that the prizes which may be offered where bingo is played as an entertainment in aid of a good cause are so small in value as to offer little attraction, whereas substantial and attractive prizes may be offered where bingo is played as a club activity and no good cause benefits.

Mr. Roy Jenkins

These matters come within the purview of the general review which I am conducting of the provisions of Part II of the Betting, Gaming and Lotteries Act, 1963.
