§ Mr. Parkynasked the Lord President of the Council to what extent the stationery used by Members of Parliament is of standard Post Office Preferred size; and when these envelopes which are of that size will be printed with the Post Office Preferred symbol.
§ Mr. BowdenMembers are supplied with sixteen varieties of correspondence envelopes (including air mail) in three sizes, all of which fall within the Post Office Preferred range. In addition, there are eleven larger pocket style envelopes supplied for the despatch of bulky documents. These are outside the preferred range, but the Administration Sub-Committee of the Select Committee on House of Commons (Services) which is reviewing stationery supplies to Members, is considering a suggestion that three of the smaller pocket envelopes might be replaced by one size within the range.
It is not the intention to print the Post Office Preferred symbol on House of Commons envelopes.
