HC Deb 03 August 1966 vol 733 c119W
Sir T. Beamish

asked the Minister of Transport if she is aware of the disruption caused to member firms of the Association of Road Traffic Sign Makers by the decision to defer the completion of the changeover to the new regulatory road signs for a year and the indefinite deferment of the completion of the changeover to new informatory signs on primary routes; why no date has been set for the latter; and if she will discuss these questions with the Association in order to alleviate the consequences of this unexpected change in the Government's plans.

Mr. John Morris

I would refer the hon. Member to the Answers given on 13th July to the hon. Member for the Cities of London and Westminster (Mr. John Smith) and on 19th July to the hon. Member for Woking (Mr. Onslow).

We are very conscious of the Association's interest in this matter and the Department is in close contact with them.
