§ Mr. Dempseyasked the Secretary of State for Scotland if he will publish figures showing the number of students who entered universities this session; and, of this total, how many he expects to enter the teaching profession.
§ Mr. Ross8,615 students entered first degree courses in all faculties of Scottish 31W universities this session. On the basis of recent experience some 1,900 of these may be expected to become teachers in due course.
