98. Mr. Buchanasked the Secretary of State for Education and Science what plans he has for the allocation of money for research into possible alternative methods to vivisection, with a view to reducing the increasing amount of vivisection taking place.
§ Mr. CroslandResearch workers continually have in mind the possibility of finding suitable alternatives to the use of animals in medical experiments, and other methods are already being used in particular fields of study. The Medical Research Council are always willing to consider support for promising lines of investigation into this problem.
