HC Deb 31 May 1965 vol 713 c146W
Sir C. Osborne

asked the Minister of Health why a tuberculosis hospital in the Bradford area, which was closed 10 years ago because the disease had been eliminated, has recently reopened; how many of the patients are immigrants; from which countries they have come; what steps he is taking to stop the spread of this disease; and if he will make a statement.

Mr. K. Robinson

I am not aware that any such hospital has been recently reopened in the Bradford area. New arrangements have recently been made which should give clearer information about the incidence of tuberculosis among new immigrants and help to ensure that they obtain treatment when needed.
