§ Mr. Freesonasked the President of the Board of Trade if he will take steps to find out how many local authorities have 200W established unified and comprehensive consumer protection services and to encourage them to provide such services at district council level.
§ Mr. DarlingOne local authority has established a service of this kind and I understand that two others have proposals under consideration. I think it is for individual local authorities to decide in the light of local circumstances whether to provide such services.
