§ Mr. Shoreasked the President of the Board of Trade if he will give the value of British exports and re-exports to South Africa in each of the years 1962, 1963, and 1964, and the value of British imports from South Africa in the same period; and what percentage of these exports and imports qualified for imperial preference.
§ Mr. RedheadFigures of our trade with South Africa can be obtained from published trade statistics. The proportions of the trade in these years qualifying for Commonwealth Preference are not available but it is estimated that in 1961 about one-half of our imports and between one-sixth and one-third of our exports qualified for preference.
