HC Deb 09 March 1965 vol 708 c60W
Mrs. Jeger

asked the Minister of Housing and Local Government why the demolition of the Church of St. James, Hampstead Road, has been delayed; and whether, in view of the needs of the neighbouring National Temperance Hospital, he will expedite demolition.

Mr. MacColl

The Department raised no objection when notified by the Church Commissioners in May, 1964, that it was intended to demolish the Church. Beyond this, my right hon. Friend has no responsibilities in the matter.
