HC Deb 09 March 1965 vol 708 c62W
95. Sir J. Lucas

asked the Minister of Housing and Local Government, in view of the facts that many landladies in seaside and holiday resorts let their rooms cheaply during the off season on condition that the tenants leave before the tourist season, when remunerative lets have been arranged, and that they fear that the Prevention from Eviction will enable tenants to break their agreement and refuse to leave, if he will take further action to clarify the position.

Mr. Crossman

I would ask the hon. Member to await the Bill, which I intend to introduce soon, to replace the Protection from Eviction Act by a permanent code.
