asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer, if he will lower the rates of Income Tax and Estate Duty and raise the level at which Surtax commences on investment income to coincide with the start of the proposed capital gains tax.

asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer what plans he has for setting up special machinery to undertake a comprehensive census of assets, indicating the property of each individual in the United Kingdom and its valuation as at Budget Day 1965.

asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer whether the exemption of an owner-occupier's only or principal residence from capital gains tax will, in the case of a building that is partly a residence and partly a shop, apply to the whole of the building or only to the residential part of it.
