§ Mr. Longdenasked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs why Her Majesty's Government have not yet ratified General Assembly Resolution 1991 A (XVIII) of 17th December, 1964, which seeks to provide for an enlarged Security Council with a more adequate geographical representation.
§ Mr. George ThomsonHer Majesty's Government have now ratified the resolution and our instrument of ratification was deposited with the Secretary-General of the United Nations on 4th June. I informed the House that we would be taking this action on 26th April.
