HC Deb 21 June 1965 vol 714 c149W
Mr. A. J. Williams

asked the Minister of Health how far the increase in surgical staff in Swansea hospitals has been matched by an increase in fully qualified and experienced anaesthetists.

Mr. K. Robinson

I assume that my hon. Friend is referring to the recent appointments of a consultant neurosurgeon and consultant obstetrician and gynaecologist. No addition to the anaesthetic staff was made because it was considered that the additional work could be undertaken by the existing anaesthetic staff.
