§ Mr. Frederick LeeFigures for 1946 and 1956 to 1963 are given in the Ministry of Power Statistical Digest, 1963 edition, table 37. Output in 1964 amounted to 6,809,500 tons; the National Coal Board expects a production in 1965 of about 7 million tons (including licensed sites). No figure is available for 1966.
