HC Deb 04 June 1965 vol 713 cc289-90W
Mr. Jopling

asked the Minister of Housing and Local Government how many times inspectors at public inquiries over compulsory purchase orders, pro- moted by local authorities, have recommended that costs be granted to the objector, and on how many of these occasions the Minister has not granted costs, during each of the last five years.

Mr. MacColl

It has not been usual for inspectors of the Department to make a specific recommendation about the award of costs. The second part of the Question, therefore, does not arise.
