HC Deb 01 June 1965 vol 713 cc199-200W
Mr. Newens

asked the Secretary of State for Education and Science in what respects the primary school at Matching, Essex, fails to conform to the standards accepted by his department.

Mr. Crosland

I understand from the Essex authority that the school site is deficient by one-tenth of an acre and that there is no playing field. The teaching area is deficient by 46 sq. ft.; there is no special provision for dining and no staff room. The sanitary accommodation is out of doors.
