HC Deb 07 July 1965 vol 715 c232W
Mr. Hector Hughes

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland if he will give the number of Scottish trawlers for which he has this year given his authority for repossession, indicating their names and the circumstances in each case.

Mr. Ross

On 29th March, 1965, I gave my consent to the White Fish Authority to repossess 10 trawlers owned by companies which had had large loans from the Authority and had been in arrears over a long period with payments of both interest and capital instalments.

The vessels involved were the "sputnik" trawlers "Clementina", "Craigmillar", "Craigievar", "Craigielee", "Schiehallion", "Craigellan" and "Craighall" and the near and middle water trawlers "Craig-gowan", "Craiglynne" and "Craigendarroch".
